Marc Connell

Marc Connell is a mortgage industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience spanning wholesale lending, real estate appraisal, retail loan origination, and ownership of a real estate and mortgage company. Since beginning his career with WMC Mortgage in 1997, he has built a reputation for structuring high-quality, guideline-compliant loans and delivering solutions that help clients and brokers succeed.

Known for his commitment to honesty, transparency, and respect for his partners’ time, Marc believes in finding the right solution for every transaction rather than forcing one to fit. This integrity-driven approach has helped him build lasting industry relationships and a proven record of success.

Marc joined Velocity as an Account Executive, quickly earning both Rookie of the Year and President’s Club honors in his first year. He was later promoted to Sales Director, where he launched and led the company’s Junior Account Executive program. Under his leadership, the inaugural team graduated five Account Executives and generated more than $150 million in production during 2025.

In December 2025, Marc was promoted to Vice President of Market Development, expanding his focus to market growth, talent development, and strategic expansion initiatives. During the first quarter of 2026, he helped launch Velocity’s Las Vegas office, where he played a key role in recruiting, training, and developing Junior Account Executives to support the company’s long-term growth objectives.

In July 2026, Marc assumed leadership of Velocity’s newly opened Orange, California office. A primary focus of the Orange office is the continued expansion and development of the Junior Account Executive program, creating a scalable pipeline of talent while supporting Velocity’s growth across existing and emerging markets.

A President’s Club performer himself, Marc increased his personal production by 238% year over year in 2025. His leadership philosophy is simple: lead by example.
