Marco Castaneda

Marco Castaneda is a seasoned mortgage professional with more than 31 years of industry experience. He joined Velocity in 2019 as a producing Regional Sales Manager and currently serves as the company’s EVP, National Production Manager, where he leads production strategy and drives national sales execution.

Marco began his mortgage career over three decades ago as an Account Manager with Admiral Mortgage. His leadership abilities and consistent performance propelled him through multiple promotions, ultimately earning him the role of Senior Vice President at Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Company, where he directed a team of more than 150 employees.

Following his tenure at WMC, Marco founded his own brokerage, Millennium Home Loans. After four successful years as an owner-operator, he was recruited by New Century Mortgage, where he served as Regional Vice President for the company’s largest region, overseeing more than 175 employees. Marco remained with New Century until the 2007 market downturn.

In 2011, Marco relaunched Millennium Home Loans, shifting his focus to Private Lending. Since 2013, he has closed more than 1,300 private money transactions in both broker and producing‑manager capacities, establishing himself as a trusted and highly productive leader in the private lending space.

Today, Marco brings his deep experience, operational discipline, and production‑driven leadership to Velocity, helping guide the continued growth and success of the organization.
